Fruity Breakfast Beverage
Ingredients:
2 cups orange juice
1 peeled quartered banana (frozen)
1/2 cup unsweetened frozen strawberries
1/2 cup unsweetened frozen raspberries
1 teaspoon honey
Directions:
1. In blender, combine all ingredients.
2. Cover and blend until smooth.
3. Pour into glasses.
Makes 3-4 servings
English Breakfast Scones
Ingredients:
1-1/2 all purpose flour
1/2 cup currants or raisins
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
3/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk
2 tbsp. olive oil (or any kind)
1 egg
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Spray round pan (9" diameter) with nonstick cooking spray.
3. Mix flour, raisins, baking powder, salt and baking soda in large bowl.
4. Stir in remaining ingredients and spread in pan.
5. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
6. Cool 10 minutes before cutting.
7. Drizzle confectioners sugar and milk glaze over top after cooled.
8. Serve warm
